Understanding Lameness

Action Point: Provide a class to clients and students on lameness and what to do if a horse comes up lame.

Rationalle: Its important that everyone who is around horses knows what lameness looks like and feels like when riding.
It is important to increase their knowledge on horse conformation, and when a joint or area of a leg looks off. Teach the students what conformation is for the breed of horses we have on the property.

Make sure that they know how proper shoeing, hoof care, nutrition, and fitness can help protect horses against lameness.
